Core Resident: Marcela Torres

As a “social strategist”, Marcela Torres creates performances, objects, workshops, and sound installations into the world that aim to reconfigure social structures and improve daily life. Torres work pairs alternative learning methods with martial arts–using this as a formal language–for the audience to witness a true representation of identity.

As CAD’s Core Learning Resident, Torres will invest in research on educational theory and models for diverse learners while continuing to evolve teaching practicums as foundational theory that guides decision-making within upcoming projects.
