Leslé Honoré – In Conversation With Erika Dudley + Silvia Inès Gonzalez

Chicago-based real-time poet and activist Leslé Honoré joins historian, artist, community organizer Erika Dudley in conversation about select poems from her published book, Fist & Fire. The collection, written in real-time, responds to issues of social injustice, police brutality, and the realities of poverty vs. privilege. It is also a love story: the sparks, the flames, and the embers that linger when the love is gone from our relationships to people, places, and ideas. This talk is hosted by artist and educator Silvia Gonzalez.

This event is brought to you in collaboration with The Loom and our Seeds in My Pocket Programming.
