POCAS SALON: SEEDS IN MY POCKET

View our first program from the Seeds In My Pocket Exhibition! The conversation is brought to you by Chicago Art Department, POC Artist Space Admin and CAD Studio Residency artist Silvia Gonzalez, and muralists Dorian Sylvain and Pablo Serrano.

POCAS (People of Color Artist Space) was founded by Silvia Inés Gonzalez in 2016 as a way to connect Artists of color in Chicago through in person and virtual led sessions for the purpose of professional development, community building across Chicago’s differing neighborhoods, critique sessions on work in progress (WIP), and salons (learning space). It has since grown into over 900 members on Facebook.

*This event is open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) supporters, youth workers, and allies. Non BIPOC are welcome to share space, but please note and be mindful that it still centers the voices of BIPOC folks.

Find the conversation HERE and on CAD’s IGTV on April 8th at 6pm.
