Chicago Art Department is pleased to present Free Write Jail Arts & Literacy Program’s third annual multimedia exhibition of work produced by students incarcerated in the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center.
The exhibition will feature creative writing, visual art, music, spoken word poetry, and performances by Chicago’s incarcerated and court-involved youth. While the incarcerated youth who produced the featured work will not be present, as they are in detention fighting their cases, their voices are represented in the artwork and writing exhibited in the show.
