Artist As Teacher – Friday November 16, 6-10pm
As a culminating event for 3 months of discussion on critical visual arts education and the idea of artist as teacher, DePaul University Visual Arts Education students exhibit original works of art to further explore their own ideas on what it means to be both an artist and a teacher. Guided by mentor and instructor Jim Duignan, the group has been considering the idea of City as Classroom, and they bring this concept to Chicago Art Department as they gather one final time to reflect on past discussions and consider future endeavors.
Artists include:
Dominique Brazeau
Jessica Hoskins
Michael Morrison
Sarah Murphy
Alyssa Nastych
Elizbeth Neurauter
Vanessa Prachack
Cynthia Saucedo
Randy Simonds
Catherine Zaworski
This exhibition will be open for one night only, from 6-10pm on Friday November 16, 2012.
