FABRIZZIO SUBIA

Fabrizzio Subia is a Chicago-based performance artist, curator, poet, and storyteller from Guayaquil, Ecuador. His writings have been featured in exhibitions across Chicago, including New Monuments for New Cities (2019), Transmutations through the Borderlands (2019), Negotiating Space (2018), and Sentences Start with a Capital Letter (2018), among others. He has presented work at Chicago institutions such as the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 6018 North Gallery, P.O. Box Collective, The Story Collider, The Green Mill, and more. He received his BFA in Performance from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020. Currently, he co-hosts Tortas y Talento, a multicultural Open Mic co-founded by him and Mariela Aranda, which operates at P.O. Box Collective Art Center in Rogers Park, Chicago. When not writing and performing, he b-boys and drums with his friends.
