SEBASTIAN HIDALGO
Sebastián Hidalgo is an independent photojournalist trained in civic-oriented newsrooms across Chicago. He has reported on issues ranging from cumulative impacts of residents living next to mix-use industrial corridors to dangerous working conditions of teen workers in Illinois factories. While his photography has been permanently collected at The United States Library of Congress, The National Museum of Mexican Fine Art, and Harvard Art Museum, his experiences leading public meetings in California and Chicago have gained the interest of notable newsrooms like ProPublica, The New York Times, and City Bureau.
