CAD Residents Galina Schevchenko and Sam Schwindt are taking over our East Gallery for their collaboration, “Tremulous Luxury: Leather and Pearls.” The installation opens Friday November 12, 6-10pm.

“Through an experimental collaboration, Schwindt and Schevchenko reflect on exquisite objects. It is an intervention following desired luxuries and reflecting on the background of, in short, dehumanizing humanism. Leather, pearls, and bodies are commodified and the artists create material manipulations to explore this tremulous history.”
