Who gets to fly the flag? Who gets to call themselves a patriot?

Chicago Art Department presents Mediating Patriotism, a collaborative exhibition featuring Sam Schwindt, Galina Schevchenko, and Lisa Jenschke in conversation about nation, symbolism, and belonging. Artists explore identities that force them out of the center and ask what that means for their relationship to the countries of their birth and the symbols that represent them. The show is rich in materials: leather, canvas, fringe, ceramics, and richly embroidered cloth.

CAD will host a Second Friday Opening, February 11th and March 11th from 6pm-10pm.

All visitors are required to show proof of vaccination.
